Winter Haven Chain of Lakes
The Winter Haven Chain of Lakes, located in Central Florida, is a captivating series of interconnected freshwater lakes renowned for their scenic beauty and abundance of recreational opportunities, especially bass fishing. This chain is made up of two distinct sub-chains – the Northern Chain and the Southern Chain.
The Northern Chain includes Lake Cannon, Lake Hartridge, Lake Idylwild, Lake Smart, Lake Fannie, Lake Henry, and Lake Hamilton.
The Southern Chain comprises Lake Howard, Lake Shipp, Lake May, Lake Jessie, Lake Elbert, Lake Lulu, Lake Roy, Lake Summit, and Lake Eloise.
Lake Cannon
With an area of about 400 acres, Lake Cannon is known for its dense vegetation and deep waters, ideal for largemouth bass fishing. The lake's structure includes several fish attractors and drop-offs, providing good opportunities for both shallow and deep-water fishing.
Lake Hartridge
Lake Hartridge spans approximately 433 acres. It features clear water and a variety of structures like grass beds and docks, making it a preferred spot for anglers targeting bass. The lake's northern side is especially popular for its deeper waters and abundant fish.
Lake Idylwild

Lake Smart

Lake Fannie
Spanning 180 acres, Lake Fannie is a favorite among local bass anglers for its seclusion and natural beauty. Its clear waters and abundant cover, such as submerged vegetation, make it a promising location for catching bass.
